RECCE REPORT

Location:  Marina River

Health and Safety concerns: Local ducks can attack the crews and damage devices. But only when they feel like their habitat is invaded. Crew members must not tease or chase the local ducks for their own safety

Problems related to slippery can also cause injuries to the crews and damage devices. Therefore, the crew members should be careful when moving around.

Electrical outlets/power supplies: Near the river, there are no power supply areas. But the location is near one of the crew’s home. So the device can be charged there. 

Available lighting sources (natural and artificial): Because it’s outside, it has lots of available natural light.

Requirement of permission to film on site: There is no need for permission to film.  The location is located in a private community and one of the crew lives here.

Why is this location a great atmosphere for this scene: It has beautiful scenery. And because it is located in a private community, it’s not crowded. However, as the location is home to the local ducks. It can cause inconvenience while filming.

Space and filming possibilities: what different shots can you have at this location: It’s an open space. So all types of shots are possible

Distinct areas for shooting, cast, and equipment at this site: There is a large grassland near the river.  Equipment can be put there.

The approximate time it will take you to shoot at this location to cover all of your needed shots: 1-2 days

Location:  Living Room

Health and Safety concerns: Likely to not have many potential hazards. The location is in one of the crew's home.

Electrical outlets/power supplies: Plenty of power sources.

Available lighting sources (natural and artificial): Though the space is inside, the lighting should be sufficient enough since one side of the room is all window.

Requirement of permissions to film on site: There is no need for permissions to film 

Why is this location a great atmosphere for this scene: This is a place that fits the criteria needed for the scene.
We aim for low-key ambient lighting - to really bring out a sad mood in the conversation scene. This place is perfect since the side of the house is not in favour of sunlight but still, there are windows for the natural light to get in, so the overall light is not getting too dark.  

Moreover, the location is used to shoot the dialogue between the two characters, which I think is quite an intimate scene that shows the relationship between the two characters -  this place should be like a habitable, familiar place. Therefore, a room that is occupied, and being used is very suitable.

Space and filming possibilities: what different shots can you have at this location: The room is not large enough for an extremely wide shot or long shot. However, those shots are also not in our plan for the scene.

Distinct areas for shooting, cast, and equipment at this site: The equipment can be put in the storehouse.
